I seriously doubt she actually took a private jet for intercity travel. This was almost certainly done for maintenance or storage, which isn't unusual for private jets as it frees up space at more trafficked airports.

That isn't to excuse her as it's still an emission that comes with using a private jet and one easily avoided by just not having a private jet, but it isn't as flippant as Taylor taking a private jet instead of a half-hour car ride.

Yes, this same thing was being complained about on reddit the other day. Someone pointed out that the Cahokia airport is the maintenance base for the private jet company, or something like that. So Swift probably wasn't even on the plane, it just went there for some fix or upgrade, then came back.

Private jets are fucking dumb and should be outlawed, but this isn't one of the reasons why.
