To this very day I've been replaying them games (Suikoden V right now) or watching some let's play on YouTube (Just finished a S3 lp this morning) Eiyuden Chronicles will be tough to play, I imagine he was sick as he was developing this game and some of those real moments about life, death, love and friendship will be hard to read and play through.
