| UnholyMudcrab 02/16/24 12:04:06 AM #14: | It's not really what the topic is asking, but the actor Emil Jannings was so successful in the silent film era that he won the first ever Oscar for Best Actor. Then talkies were invented and his career took a nosedive because his German accent was difficult to understand. He ended up moving back to Germany and starring in Nazi propaganda films.
