This is the flawed two party system, which most of the western world has already figured out with coalition style governments but here we sit still using a concept dating back to the French Revolution, controlled by the wealthy and corporate America.

I used to think this too

But party systems are unavoidable. Our constitution was built around not using them, which lasted all of, what, 3 election cycles? The alternative is individual voice which tends to get drowned out by the bulk of what ultimately becomes a party.

Coalition government is becoming closer. We nearly had to have a coalition house when the MAGA wing sabotaged speaker votes. Would have forced a moderate republican into speakership. Too bad that didn't happen.

Tired of just seeing two extremes fighting, dying for any moderate at this point
