Also, any gains made in efficiency are offset by subsequent population growth, as well as development of the third world. 600 million Africans don't even have access to electricity currently, which is also seen as an affront to human dignity. What do you think their fuel source of choice is gonna be when they industrialize? Hint: it's not clean and it rhymes with bowl Exactly.
