Eh, I don't think that is necessarily true, as modern kids often don't want a dedicated gaming device, they have phones which work just fine. You need to look at the total sales of each generation to get an understanding of whether that is true or not and what kind of growth each generation sees. I am at work and don't have the time or energy to do that so I can't say whether thi sis true or not.

That's because in addition to also having no games to their name, the Xbox Series consoles are actively inferior in terms of hardware in every other facet not to mention how the Series S and X idea is extremely stupid and borderline Wii U tier naming territory. So for a kid or one of those weirdos who only buy consoles so they can play the newest sports game every single year, PS5 is the answer over the Xbox even if it's still shit.

Also as was stated earlier, MS lost a crucial generation where people were building their digital game libraries and since everyone had a PS4, it stands to reason they would upgrade to the PS5 to keep their purchases.
