Both are top tier but I'll take baked with butter and sour cream. Everyone once in awhile I liked doing a loaded baked potato as a main dish and add some cheese and chili on top of it as well.

Mashed is great and I like gravy but to me I like white pepper gravy on chicken fried steaks or white sausage gravy with biscuits but I don't want white gravy on mashed potatoes. Give me brown gravy with my mashed potatoes.

I also have an outstanding mashed potato recipe that incorporates cream cheese and heavy cream and butter into them and then baking them for a bit in the oven and it comes out so smooth and creamy it is delicious.
