Thats crazy, the more you know. Thats also additional context that would go towards deciding whether its 8pm or 8am. Its also easier to clarify 8pm vs saying meet at 20

It's only easier because it's what people are used to. If a 24 hour clock was standard that would be easier.

I do both though. My watch is set to a 24 hour model but I'll still say 8 instead of 20.

I got used to this because I had to write reports at work and they'd have to review camera footage based on my reports and it was easier for them to figure things out if I went by the 24 hour model cause people often forget to write am or pm.
