I don't know what to say about this to be honest. As someone that lives near Denver, I can vouch that I have been seeing more people from other countries hoping to be given money on street corners. Saw one saying they were a family from Venezuela who needed help. I'm a guy who makes less than 30K a year, I don't have the money to give to people, even if it's in the form of food. I know it's been worse with homeless & immigrants in the last year than it was a few years ago.

But by that same token, the mayor is a tool who basically ran on a single issue in that he would 'solve the homeless issue.' But he's not tried to do much personally in the city of Denver, while our Governor has done some good work with taxes & support for business & smaller earners, liberals still do not do enough to fix critical issues in America because they don't want to throw a spanner in the works of capitalism.

Homelessness isn't fixed by dehumanizing people, & we had a pretty good budget surplus a year or two ago that was given out through TABOR refunds as per our state's legislation. If they actually focused on affordable housing/pillbox houses for homeless instead of letting Air BNBs eat up properties, maybe things would be different. But the situation is so demoralizing seeing police not clean up streets or do their job while they're pushing 250+ lbs & out of shape, while the single policy issue mayor makes excuses for his own inability to help push successful policy.
