Every one has called or been called something that might be a bit much in terms of politics. In the company of a typical American conservative, they would say I'm an open borders communist when I am neither for open borders or communist.

I didn't go ballistic and be like:

"Oh yeah! Well now I want open borders, and now I don't think heavily regulated capitalism with single payer healthcare and most utilities being publicly owned and operated goes nearly far enough! Now I want full state ownership of all industry - look what you made me do!!!"
