Ive never seen it used as a flaw until Denji in Chainsaw Man. But I dont watch anime like that. I don't believe in placing arbitrary restraints on fictional writing. If writers want to do better and audiences want to make better choices that is preferred. I really don't want to see the left swing back the other way and become censorious in fictional media with "pervert panics" the way conservatives and the religious right had their moral and "satanic panics" and their anti LGBTQ crusading now. I'm a free speech guy. That doesn't mean I support spreading misinformation, history revision, or unrestrained propaganda in the form of news and non-fiction. This also doesn't extend to the classroom curriculum...
