Oh, the reason your food is so expensive is so we can pay these losers minimum wage. What's the rest for? You don't need to think about that.

Labour costs are always built in to the prices of the products and services you buy. But why do you think they want to make a distinction between labour costs, other costs, and profit? Think you would ever see a sign that said 'we've added a rent surcharge on to your bill to help cover the cost of the premises', or 'here's a dividend fee to help us provide a return to our shareholders'?

Of course not. They want you pissed at the people who are barely getting by for asking for too much.
