She did bond with Han, but they never got to see that bond through. Luke snd Leia completed reys journey, and her journey mirrors theirs.

Because Luke was ORIGINALLY named that because of his traits(notice how his aunt and uncle don't share the name) Unsatisfied with grounded life, he found his purpose looking into the sky and venturing there. Leia did too, as did rey. That was the original idea behind the name, one of nominative determinism of sorts. Obviously ESB muddied this idea, and the prequels shattered it but its a nice reference to that.

No, but Leia and Luke both know well, as should the fans, that who you were born from has little bearing on who you are. They are both children of the greatest threat the galaxy ever faced, and rey was born as the legacy to that, and ben chose that over his lineage. Rey on the other hand, in his steady chose the Skywalker over her lineage. There are many flaws with TROS but this aspect isn't one of them. Thematically it works.
