"In chaos, I lost my dream in limbo, my dream of your smile / How come how come? Where did it all go so wrong?"

I guess now we're just gonna hit all the ones I have a kind of hard time really explaining. So I'll start with the easy part. I kinda like the song. It sort of sounds like something I'd hear on an arcade rhythm machine (not DDR, but one of the imported ones you play with your hands, if that makes any sense at all). Some of the more high-pitched grinding siren noises repeating through the song didn't quite work for me, but it's not bad.

Very very little of this song comes across as villainous. I had 2/10 largely marked as my "misguided rather than villainous" category, and I think that's a great fit for Miku. She's in an antagonistic role in the song out of love for the protagonist and wanting to stop her for her own good ("I can never forgive myself for this / That's why I'll fight"). And the portrayal of Miku's love for... *hold on, let me check my notes*... Hibiki and the complicated feelings that leaves her with makes for some really excellent characterization. It's a (seemingly unrequited) love song masquerading as a boss theme, and vice versa.
