- By law, Texas schools must emphasize abstinence during sex ed. Statistically, abstinence-focused sex ed leads to higher teenage pregnancy rates.
- Abortion is banned in Texas. This paired with the previous bullet point means a higher teenage birthrate.
- High teenage birthrate leads to higher poverty rates. This is especially true in red states that doesn't fund robust social programs for the needy.
- Republicans are on record admitting that keeping people poor is good for both businesses looking for cheap labor and military recruiters looking for bodies to throw at our enemies.
