I think people on the left should own guns. I understand why you think that's a right-wing view, however many leftists actually hold this view because it's the most logical defense against right-wingers with guns. I see the logic behind it, however due to my own personal stance on guns I don't agree with the desire to own in general, though I do see their logic.
