I know exactly what they are, telephone pole sized metal rods deployed in satellites that utilize kinetic energy instead of explosives. It is not a complicated system to implement, and is not illegal by any international convention or treaty. The only thing stopping us from acknowledging that we possess them, if we actually do that is, is that it would establish a precedent for other nations to develop them.
Edit: tungsten does not emit ionizing radiation, and therefore is conventional.

We dont possess them, and they are actually WILDLY complicated to implement, and basically not remotely worth it. I know you think you know what youre talking about because you heard about how cool they are once, but no. Insanely expensive, take prohibitively long to actually deploy, (you have to de-orbit the rods) and arent as destructive as you think. They
will not be raining down anywhere.

It's a luscious mix of words and tricks, that let us bet, when we know we should have folded.
