Chi-Chi was a fairly interesting character who was reduced to a violent housewife after marrying Goku and her significance reduced to simply being a functioning womb for Saiyan kids.
Sakura went through an entire character arc evolving from a bratty girl with superfluous qualities to a legitimately strong woman in her own right. People would talk of her obsession with Sasuke, but it was one she shared with Naruto. Her experiences in Part 1 pushed her to seek greater strengths to stand side by side with two of the strongest shinobi in the Leaf Village, all without special genetic powers. She's also the very first ninja from the Leaf Village to kill an Akatsuki member, long before anyone else and even from her own Team 7. She also directly assists in beating the final big bad of the original series and following the second timeskip into adulthood as a mother, she continues to play a part in the story as Sarada's mentor
At best, she shared that kill with Chiyo. Without that puppet jutsu, Sakura would have died early on.
