Weirdly, I didn't like the open world nature of it. When I load a racing game, I basically just want to pick a track and start racing. Something about the way Paradise was designed to be something like a GTA City where you would drive to the different missions just turned me off. But again, I'm not someone who's deep into the racing genre so maybe that's exactly what other people wanted. Revenge also specialized in over the top crashes and had entire modes that would incentivize reckless driving and causing accidents. Maybe Paradise had a mode like that too, but I remember the marketing trying to sell it as much more of a serious racing game. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
