I just watched the first 40 minutes of the video. How are these investigators so calm when he's detailing every single thing he does. I would be shitting bricks out So, for interrogations, there are a few reasons to thst detectives choose to keep people uncuffed unless they are expected to be a legitimate threat.. 1: Suspects are more likely to talk when not cuffed and shackled. 2: It looks better when the interview is shown during trial. Jury is less likely to be sympathetic to the suspect if they aren't all chained up. Also removes a tool from the defenses arsenal that the suspect felt forced into confessing. Besides, he really wasn't a threat to police at any point. Unarmed, did nothing to hide his guilt, was open about everything. He clearly had no intention of trying to escape. Was a sensible call to leave him uncuffed and more comfortable to share all the details and his reasoning. --- http://tinyurl.com/b95dwtg ... Copied to Clipboard! |
