I mean, its not as if in 2012 the GOP presidential canditate literally told poor people that couldnt afford insurance to go to the ER if they couldnt pay, tying up our critical resources instead of championing a plan that would allow them to get cheaper preventative treatment.

And if this is their baseline assumption, that ERs cover the gap, then of course thats going to be the only option available. Because the GOP have deliberately designed it that way.
