Some Republicans don't actually care about the people of Israel. Some are evangelicals who only care about a massive war in the "Holy Lands" to envoke a biblical prophecy. The reality is more like the Israelites are just proxy soldiers in a proxy war to eradicate Muslims. Biblical prophecy is just smoke and mirrors.
