What he means is that Rolex might simply only create a small number of watches due to the fact that the watches are legitimately works of fine craftsmanship made by hand, and its hard to make more without sacrificing quality. Compare it to nintendo who never actually make an appropriate amount of their products even through they are mass produced trash from chinese or taiwanese manufacturers and all their products are made in sweatshops. Nintendo does it specifically to drum up demand due to artificial shortages.
