My dad sat me down when I was a very young child to watch this and its a great movie. Where the Red Fern Grows is also very good. We read the book and then watched the movie in Elementary school. Not a dry eye in the room. If youre an animal lover, especially dogs these two movies will make you cry. Easily the 2 saddest movies ever. I also remember being sad by The Fox and the Hound.
