A Detroit man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Wexford County, according to Michigan State Police.

Jamal Batman, 42, was arraigned in the 84th District Court on the following charges:

• Operating while intoxicated, third offense
• One count of possession of cocaine under 25 grams
• One count of open intoxicants in vehicle
• One count of driving while license revoked

Batman's bond was set at $100,000.

At 3 a.m. on Sunday, troopers stopped a vehicle on southbound US-131 near Exit 176 for a "moving violation," state police said in a news release.

"Troopers noticed an open bottle of tequila inside the vehicle," state police said.

State police said the driver, Batman, "displayed signs of intoxication."

Sobriety tests were administered and Batman was arrested and taken to the Wexford County Jail.

"After Batman was taken out of the patrol vehicle at the jail, troopers located a small plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine where Batman had been seated," state police said.

Batman's next scheduled court appearance is on April 16 at 2 p.m.
