Easily the 2 saddest movies ever. I also remember being sad by The Fox and the Hound. Weird how my saddest movies all involve dogs. This is a subject that I have seen pop up in a few places and I always worry that because they are so old they will simply be unknown to younger people so they will see my comment and skip right over them. They were still very much a thing when I was a kid. I'm 48 now and so yeah, if was pretty well known in my youth.
