Gotta love it Admittedly I skimmed the opening post, but it appears this is less to do with spending to survive, and more to do with literally splurging. For example going for high priced grocery items, when a cheaper more affordable option is available. Picking up the "organic" apple vs the just an apple. Shopping at Whole Foods instead of shopping at whatever your local grocery store is.
