Yeah that's one of the "wildly inappropriate" things I mentioned that no one really denies happened.

Also like I said, I don't know how illegal even the allegations were at the time. Talking explicitly about sex and french kissing, for example, I'm pretty sure they would be illegal in any state right now. But they didn't use to be, just because the laws weren't clearly defined yet. Until the later part of the 20th century, basically if you weren't putting a penis inside another person, the law didn't address it. And then it took decades of modifying laws and setting legal precedent to get to where we are today. I don't know what the laws and precedents were at the time. So maybe the reason MJ was "exonerated" is not so much lack of evidence, as much as they couldn't prosecute him for the things he was accused of doing.
