Topic	What would you consider an appropriate cost for building a gaming PC?

That processor is terrible - and I say that as someone who used a non-hyperthreaded Intel CPU for years. If you only had $400 for a PC, this might be one of your few options, but I don't know that I'd ever recommend someone do that.
