I kind of do, maybe leaning towards definitely.

So, I've worked at restaurants, both as a full time thing and a part time for extra money. at every single job, I've notice there are days where there will be uncommon orders, ordered multiple times in a row almost the exact same each time.
Right now, I'm working at a pizza place at night (I'm not the dominoes guy btw, I work at a local place not a chain) and our thin crust is by far the least popular one followed by gluten free pizza. Maybe we'll have one order a day with either, sometimes no orders at all. But, every few weeks, there'll be a day where it's nothing but thin crust pizzas or gluten free pizzas, and we never run specials on them or anything.

Same thing back when I was in my early 20s and working at a sub shop. That place never, and I mean never ran specials so there was no reason for a ton of people to be ordering something weird like a tuna sub with bacon and pickles. I remember specifically two times where at least a dozen people ordered that sub within a couple of hours of each other. that sub would very, very rarely get ordered in that combo.

stuff like the trending page of twitter, hot games on steam, or popular stuff on youtube, or whatever other site I think somewhat counts, but not 100% because there are algorithms built-in to those to boost it. But the food orders? it makes absolutely no sense to me. I've looked up if there are national food days for weird orders, but never really found anything.

so yeah, what are your thoughts? have you ever experienced anything similar to that?
