I've generally avoided Samsung, as someone who has been in the industry, exactly because this hasn't been true, from what I've seen. Samsung often has perfectly suitable hardware, but their software has been incredibly problematic over the years. What was the device you used and when was it? I'm typing this on a 2018 Tab S4 that I've used for everything from signing documents to remote VPN work. Your workflows may be different from mine but my devices have never let me down for what I need them to do. All my computing devices and home appliances all sync pretty well together. Failures are few and far between and not enough to really matter. Your miles may very but I think Samsung as a company has come a long way from even 5-10 years ago. Samsung literally turns off things like push notifications for non-official apps, without telling you, in order to preserve their constantly running tracking apps, when your battery life gets below like, 75%. Samsung is horrible for bloatware. I'm not talking about how their apps actually run, I'm talking about the s*** you don't even know is runningWell if the apps run well and they don't get in the way of what I want the device to do then why should I care? If you don't like the Samsung apps then delete and/or disable them. Am I able to delete or disable all of Apple's first party apps on an iPhone? No one calls that bloatware but that's what it is. I'm looking at the Samsung apps I use for my phone and every single one of them can be deleted or disabled on a whim. I don't follow you. --- When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. - Confucius ... Copied to Clipboard! |
