Unless we're invading Iran directly, there wouldn't be (significant) boots on ground. even then, there's a 0% chance of a draft unless Biden is wanting to directly hand the election to Trump.

What would happen is air/naval support. The US would absolutely use the opportunity to put air defense systems through their paces and would monitor and lock down every bit of Iraqi, Jordanian (we don't even have to: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/jordans-air-defence-ready-shoot-down-any-iranian-aircraft-that-violate-its-2024-04-13/ ), Saudi and Syrian airspace. Iran would have no direct aerial path to Israel. If the US gets involved, Iran can do nothing but throw a tantrum.

Realistically, all we have to do is keep doing what we've been doing. Because what they're actually going to do is keep up attacks with plausible deniability by funding militant Islamic groups that are more than happy to harass Israel. Iran knows their war board and knows what options they actually have.

If they have launched drones it is specifically to get those drones shot down so they can bluster about "we were unjustly attacked"
