Capcom hired the western dev Ninja Theory to make a Devil May Cry game (DmC). People derided it for a variety of reasons and what not. But while that was going on, for a time, another studio (Armature Studio, made up of people who made Metroid Prime) was also contracted with making a Mega Man game.
