It's an interesting situation and I can see both sides (BoTh SidEz) of the debate. Personally I feel like if you don't live there and never have any intentions of ever living there again then you shouldn't vote. Let me rephrase it. It isn't so much that you shouldn't but I think it is perfectly acceptable should you choose not to. That probably states it better.

I agree, but can also understand the opposite argument. If I wasnt sure if I was going to move back or not, then Id say it makes more sense to vote. But the only reasons Im not ever going for citizenship where I live are because it would significantly lower my salary and having a UK passport makes travel much easier.

While the choice to vote is entirely up to you, I do think your vote would help any close friends and relatives you might have in the UK. After all, razor-thin races can happen unexpectedly and that one vote might just make things better overall for the people living there.

My understanding is that my vote would count in whatever constituency I was in before I left, which would limit my ability to vote tactically, but you raise a fair point.
