He didn't defy it. They wanted a close doored hearing, he agreed to an open door one and they changed it. Comer offered an open hearing, thinking Biden would never agree to it. Than he showed up, and the GOP tried to find him in contempt. They rescinded their offer, Hunter said no, and eventually agreed to it.
