There is still too many people that believe the whole "modern game discs don't contain the game" myth, at least when it comes to the playstation. The main games you have to worry about not being able to play off the disc is the online-only ones like anthem, outriders and so on or games that have way more than 100 GB of data and the company opted not to do a multiple disc/data disc kind of thing like with call of duty modern warfare 2. (Microsoft is more likely going to have those nothing on disc games like with the master chief collection).

When it comes to smaller more niche games like eiyuden chronicles you will never have to worry about the game not actually being on it. (Even more so since it would be a absolute shit-show for those of us who backed this game at the physical tier specifically to have the game on the disc, lol).
