Pretty sure that Republicans are only mad at TikTok because they don't like competition.

I guarantee that Youtube, Facebook and Twitter will all help Western democracy decay and eventually die because it makes them money, and then their execs will express surprise when they get brigaded into unmarked vans. We all know about the algorhythmic alt-right pipeline on those sites, especially Youtube.

But as rotten and corrupt and deadly as American social media sites are, China is a hostile foreign state that is seeking to weaken the West for foreign policy goals, not to make money.
