Topic	The thought of probably spending $18k a year to live on my own seems crazy

Also, my friend who paid the same rent as your wife was making like $11/hr, so I'm glad she did contribute, but also 400/mo from 90k a year is a unique situation in and of itself because who realistically lives in their parent's home when making 90k (At least in the U.S.)?
