| YellowSUV 04/24/24 1:05:38 PM #14: | Andrew Johnson. He had the opportunity to destroy the Southern aristocracy and create much more equal society. Instead he let them keep a bunch of power and they eventually were able to destroy Reconstruction. Without Johnson it is very likely a lot of the race tensions plaguing America would be gone.
