My Mother spent 50 years of her life with declawed cats, and I was around all of them after I was born. I have never declawed a cat, and since my choice not to as an adult, she decided to look into it then stop doing it as well. But the important part of that story is that every single one of her cats that I saw loved her (and/or me), none of them ever had trouble with litter boxes, and they all lived full and long lives.

I wouldnt ever declaw a catunless medically advised. But I know from my personal history that declawing isnt the end of the world. So if it was recommended by a veterinarian due to an injury, and I had the money, I would do it.

My veterinarian wants to remove some of my cats teeth, just the premolars from my understanding, because that kitty has some autoimmune disorder it seems that is causing them to be easily and routinely infected. Apparently teeth removal is not even something thats as horrible as it sounds in veterinary medicine, and shouldnt impact her life at all. But even if I had the money, that just sounds too horrible for me to stomach.

So insteadIm giving her somewhat routine steroid shots to keep physical symptoms down and improve her quality of life. But I also know, while this path is the best for QoL, its also shortening her lifespan. So am I making the right or wrong choice?

But anyway, thats enough of an aside, I hope my experiences helped you come to a decision.

Edit: Strictly indoor cats. Thats an incredibly important qualifier that I neglected to mention. All of them were, and if yours is, then its going to be fine. But cats who go outdoors absolutely need their claws.

My cat has something similar where some of his teeth have being anbsorbed into the jaw. Luckily it was just his front ones and he only has one of his angry teeth left. Looks funny when he gets angry though
