I think a lot of us fail to see that the number of us wanting to end the genocide barely matters, politically, and not just because we're basically locked in to Biden regardless.

But the pro-Israel groups and lobbies will absolutely CRUSH any politician who steps out of line.

Remember Ilhan Omar? Extremely popular and talked about politician? One of the leading faces of The Squad? Boogeyman to right wing chuds everywhere? And notably a politician with a lot of very good and understandable reasons for opposing the genocide?

Well, she did, very publicly, right when the conflict started. And she was promptly unpersoned for it. Used to be you couldn't go two days without hearing about her. Now? Not a peep, for months. And it's not because she herself disappeared or changed.
