I can't wait to see that fucking piece of shit bridge get brought down.

And yeah it does seem like this is just an attention grabber announcement to pressure Russia to split it's defense priorities and sap from areas they actually want to strike, but I do think they will follow it through at some point, just a matter of when.

This bridge is a key part of this war. Being able to close off the back door from Russia to Crimea will make them incredibly vulnerable to being cut off from the Russian supply line whenever Ukraine are able to push through in the south east again.

Though before that happens that $61b of aid and military equipment needs to arrive.
