Hes one of the least funny popular comedians on the market. Gaffigan is better than him.

I think he is niche myself. Not too many people are going to enjoy a guy playing with puppets and make metaphysical jokes about arguing with himself.

Nah, there's actual political comedians who do it well, because that's what they focus on and they're politically engaged. Dean Obeidallah, for example, does jokes from a progressive Muslim Palestinian perspective. But I agree that unless that's what you're making your bread and butter, people should take political takes from comedians with a grain of salt.

Would also recommend John Fugelsang, Stephanie Miller, and Frangela.

I guess you're right. They are likely better than the ones my grandparents puts on. One example being one guy who wouldn't stop ripping into his wife for the whole routine.

I also don't really watch that many stand-ups anyway. I kinda prefer quirky game shows like Idiotest and Snake Oil when it comes to comedy.
