Great point. As always, many of the problems conservatives blame on the "left" can usually be traced back to capitalism.

Studios are no longer willing to invest in mid-budget sized comedy movies due to risk. It's either big budget IP movies, or low-budget horror (as you mentioned).

That being said, there's absolutely no shortage of really good comedy shows. Abbott Elementary is a great example.
