I know, I just dont understand why not. If the site isnt profitable then the site dies. Its just common sense.

There are only a few choices here:

* Fandom modernizes the site and successfully attracts a newer and more younger userbase
* Fandom closes down the site because its unprofitable
The option of just leaving the site as is to slowly but surely wither away just doesnt exist. Its not an option.

I understand being anti-corporate. But I just dont understand wanting to be so anti-corporate that youd actually wish for this platforms demise. I mean, I love this place and I assume all of you do as well which is why Im behind the first bullet point and not the second one

nothing Fandom is doing is actually modernizing the site and it won't be successful in attracting a newer and younger user base, because younger people don't use message boards or FAQs and are not ever going to be interested in using message boards, because they use social media and youtube and wikis. we don't wish for this platform's demise or for it to slowly but surely wither away. we are just not on board with Fandom's changes, because all that they are going to do is hasten the demise and hasten the withering away.
