They complain about not being able to make bigoted jokes, but they don't seem to consider that backlash or laws against LGBTQ+ acknowledgement are signs of their own side being guilty of oversensitivity.

No, the reason people voice their concerns is that they just want to legalize bigotry by voicing gloom and doom.

I feel there are a lot of folks who feel like there is no humor if no one is being put down or mocked, and don't get the Bob's Burger kind of humor that seems to focus on never really putting anyone down hard...that kind of humor is just alien to many.

Its been a cultural war of making every group be equal and not seen as inferior.

Like with Apu in the Simpsons...few were really seeing him as offensive but it seems like many modern Indian citizens wanted, because no matter how much worked out for Apu they still saw him as" not on the level as a white man." and it would never be enough till Apu was Homer's Equal.

Many want to demand that all culture makes sure that white men are never above woman or other groups and that's something that's enraged more then a few who don't think such a thing is really possible.
