Also a small disturbing part of my childhood where I was looking for snacks in my friend's garage freezer because they usually had Popsicles or ice creams but instead I found a cat in a bag that had recently passed away.

By the very nature of stasis I don't think your body could change states at all. It just suspends the present state of anything contained within. That's why you can pull out a hot pizza at any time that you had delivered last month.
