IMO, the trolling rule on this site has failed since it allows people like Scotty to run amok and single handedly ruin the dragon ball board. We all know these people are trolls yet theyre allowed to exist because gamefaqs trolling rule is worded weirdly.

Hey, person who posted the crush on the best friend confession. Thats a totally understandable opinion and I was leaning towards suppressing my feelings too, because kinda like what you said our friendship is extremely precious to me and I dont want to lose that. Shes my go to for basically everything and shes one of the few people Ive actually felt like is a true friend. Like she actually wants to talk to me more often than a single text once a month, she actually cares about what I think and feel, and she takes interest in my interests. So I very much dont want to ruin this friendship.

Exactly, preserving the friendship you have is worth more than the risk of telling her you want to date her. I know that probably feels shitty, considering that you are catching romantic feelings, but it's probably for the best.

It's entirely possible for her to develop feelings on her own eventually. I admit that I've also developed crushes on my guy friends before.. it happens. Imo it's better to leave the ball in her court, because if she likes you in that way, she'll be hinting at it too.

As the woman, hearing a best guy friend confess romantic feelings feels like a gut punch more often than not. It brings up uncomfortable questions. The reason is that, since you already have established a close friendship, why is what we have not enough? Is it just the physical connection he wants? How long has he felt this way, and has he only pretended to be my friend because he wants to sleep with me?
