PSU is usually the last thing to die on a computer. I am still using the same PSU from like 16 years ago in mine. The connection issue wasn't until I had set up the new MB. I think the old MB is dead, and the PSU is dying. But I won't throw away either. I've been using a laptop for 6 months now. It's pretty great to not be confined to that tiny laptop screen anymore!
