Wouldn't be surprised fandom sells gamefaqs to someone else in few years.This site is probably worth less than $1 million at this point. Probably more tax efficient for them to simply shut it down & write it off. CJayC sold it to CNET along with 2 unrelated websites for $2.2 million. The other 2 were obscure, thinly-trafficked sites so $2M for GF in 2007 is probably a reasonable estimate. This sites traffic is less than a quarter of what it was at its peak. Account for inflation & the sites decline and <$1M is probably a reasonable estimate for todays value.
